UNCTAD will cover air ticket and per diem expenses for the two (2) participants selected by your national authorities: an expert in the area of trade and competition and the national authority, or an expert in the areas of competition and/or consumer protection, not residing in Colombia. In this regard, the most direct routes and the cheapest rates will be applied (change of routes will not be allowed). The Latin American and Caribbean countries are required to submit their candidates by no later than 15 May 2011. The candidates should fill out the United Nations IMIS form (available in SELA’s Web site) and attach a digital copy of the page with their personal data in their passport.

Participants are advised to check about visa requirements with the Colombian Embassy in their countries. In case a visa is required, the application should be made as soon as possible. Expenses related to visa arrangements will not be covered by UNCTAD.
