ITEM II. FORUM: “COMMUNITY OF LATIN AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN STATES (CELAC): DIRECTION AND PROSPECTS”
The sessions of the XXXVIII Regular Meeting of the Latin American Council of SELA were held in Caracas, Venezuela, in the headquarters of the Permanent Secretariat, on Av. Francisco de Miranda, Torre Europa, Fifth Floor, Simón Bolívar Conference Room, Campo Alegre.
The Preparatory Stage took place on 17 and 18 October and the Ministerial Stage on 18 October after 15:00 and 19 October 2012.Item II. FORUM: “Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC): Direction and prospects”
As an activity to open the Ministerial Stage, a Forum entitled “Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC): Direction and prospects” was held on Thursday 18 in the afternoon, with the participation of the National Coordinator of the Pro-Tempore Presidency of CELAC, Ambassador Adolfo Carafí, and the representatives of Venezuela and Cuba, as members of the TROIKA of this organization, in charge of this topic. Representatives of SELA Member States also participated. p/> This forum was aimed at informing about the works being carried out by CELAC and presenting its work programme for the achievement of the goals set.
