DISTANCE LEARNING COURSE ON THE LEGAL ASPECTS OF E-COMMERCE FOR LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

CONTENT OF THE COURSE
The UNCTAD Science, Technology and ICT Service and TrainForTrade Programme of the Technology and Logistics Division developed the Distance Learning Course on the Legal Aspects of E-Commerce, which consists of 8 modules:
- Module 1: E-commerce regulation
- Module 2: Legal validity of data messages
- Module 3: Consumer protection and e-commerce
- Module 4: Considerations of intellectual property in e-commerce
- Module 5: Content regulation
- Module 6: Taxes on e-commerce
- Module 7: Online privacy
- Module 8: E-commerce security
The TrainForTrade learning platform will accompany participants in their learning process during the distance course. This platform includes the user’s manuals, multimedia presentations, examinations and access to discussion forums. At the end of each module, participants must take a test, provided by the platform, to verify the understanding of the most important concepts of each module.
