OBJECTIVES

Objectives

General Objective of the Learning Course:

Strengthen the capabilities of government officials, as well as the main actors of the industry, commerce and civil society in Latin American and Caribbean countries, in the use of electronic commerce and the development of the regulatory framework on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and cyberlegislation, with a view to achieving a dynamic, reliable, secure and harmonized electronic commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean.

 

Specific Objectives of the Learning Course:

  1. Train in regulatory aspects and implications of e-commerce in the region, as well as its technological, political, security and economic components;

  2. Gain knowledge about the development and scope of e-commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean and exchange experiences;

  3. Provide the business community interested in e-commerce operations with the necessary elements to understand the legal framework.

This course will enable participants to share experiences both at national and regional levels and to define the priority areas on which actions should focus on. In addition, they will be able to analyze some existing laws and use the knowledge gained for the adequacy of national legislations in accordance with their needs and goals.
