DISTANCE LEARNING COURSE ON THE LEGAL ASPECTS OF E-COMMERCE FOR LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The Distance Learning Course on the Legal Aspects of E-Commerce is aimed at SELA and ACS Member States. It is essential for potential participants to be specialized in the subject matter of the event and to master the Spanish language.

The course is aimed at:

  • Government officials responsible for defining general policies and outlining national legal frameworks on e-commerce;
  • Professionals dealing with e-commerce issues;
  • Service providers offering online products and services.

Conditions of participation:

Participants must attend the whole course, i.e.:

  • Follow the 8 modules of the distance learning course, according to the agenda to be provided;
  • Take and approve examinations and case studies, provided by the distance learning platform, according to the agenda.

Participants who comply with the conditions of participation and obtain 70 or more points out of 100 as the final grade will receive the corresponding certificate.

At the end of the distance learning course, a selection will be made among the participants who received the certificate. Those who are selected will be invited to participate in the “Workshop on harmonization of cyberlegislation for e-commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean,” to take place in September in Guayaquil (Ecuador). It is important to emphasize that the participation in the distance learning course does not guarantee automatic participation in the Workshop.
