REGIONAL MEETING ON THE ECONOMIC AND TRADE RELATIONS OF LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN WITH NATIONS OF THE PACIFIC, INDIA AND AFRICA

OBJECTIVES

Within the context described above, this Regional Meeting has the following objectives:

    1. Make progress with the follow-up of the evolution, current status and prospects of economic and trade relations of Latin America and the Caribbean with the Pacific Nations, India and the African continent.

    2. Encourage debates and exchanges of information and experiences among the Member States of SELA as regards their economic relations with those countries, taking into account the different economic, trade and cooperation agreements existing between the parties.

    3. Explore possibilities and modalities, and identify areas of work, for strengthening and diversifying institutional, economic and trade relations between the parties.
