This Seminar-Workshop is expected to determine the feasibility of creating a guarantee system for the Caribbean region through the study of regulatory, institutional and financial requirements according to the realities and needs of the Caribbean region. In this connection, invitations will be extended to the Finance and Industry Ministries of CARICOM countries, financial institutions such as the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and the CAF-Development Bank of Latin America. Representatives of the SME sector and international experts are also expected to attend the event. As a result of this meeting, the necessary steps and recommendations for establishing the Guarantee Fund of the Caribbean region will be presented and submitted for consideration and approval of Caribbean countries and financial agencies.
