The general objectives of the meeting are:

1. Contribute to strengthening business and governmental institutional capacities for the development of productive coordination projects, such as clusters and export consortiums.
2. Disseminate strategies for productive coordination, such as chains, local productive developments, industrial districts and other successful experiences in the region.
3. Identify best practices for the design and implementation of export consortiums.
4. Exchange experiences via Internet.
5. Provide online advisory for the creation of export consortiums.

The specific objectives of the meeting are:

1. Train officials and representatives of the private sector in productive coordination projects concerning production and export consortiums.
2. Collect and disseminate documents on experiences with various productive coordination instruments and systems.
3. Identify ongoing or potential productive coordination projects.
4. Mobilize institutional capacities and experts from countries of the region with more experience to assist applicant countries through cooperation.
