The general objectives of this activity are as follows:

1. 1. 1. Present the results of the pre-feasibility study for the creation of a Regional Guarantee System for SMEs in the Caribbean;
      2. Review the achievements concerning innovative financial mechanisms and instruments to complement guarantee systems;
      3. Promote the integration of work teams in the region for the implementation of regional guarantee systems.

This seminar has the following specific objectives:

1. 1. 1. Move ahead towards the creation of the guarantee system in the Caribbean;
      2. Involve national and subregional financial institutions in efforts to create a Regional Guarantee System;
      3. Train officials in relevant topics on guarantee systems to support SMEs;
      4. Obtain contributions, suggestions, possible adjustments and comments from participants of the Seminar, in order to enrich the content of the pre-feasibility study.
