SESSION III: Public investment and integration of criteria for disaster risk reduction

Disasters are generating extensive damage and economic, social and environmental losses to all countries in the region of the Americas, also affecting the capacity to provide public goods and services that are critical to development processes. This session aims to review best practices in the integration of disaster risk reduction in public sector investment, in the practice of analysis, programming and management of public investment as a fundamental pillar to strengthen the resilience of individuals, communities and countries.
