OBJECTIVES

The general objectives of this XXVIII Regional Meeting are as follows: 

  1. Present a general assessment of the advances in the field of regulatory frameworks on intellectual property, industrial property, copyright, trademarks and patents in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  2. Promote cooperation and exchange of experiences among intellectual property offices in the Member States of SELA.
  3. Exchange best practices and lessons learned in the field of cooperation on intellectual property.
  4. Identify opportunities for international, triangular and South-South cooperation that can be developed in the field of intellectual property with the support and coordination of focal points in charge of international cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as cooperation actions and initiatives that can be developed with regional and international organizations.
