SESSION IV: Resilience for educational and cultural infrastructures: Protection of the historical and cultural heritage. Moderator: Alexander Mirescu, Promoter of the Global Resilient Cities Campaign of UNISDR and Director of the Business Team for Urban Resilience, Pontarolo Engineering. |
Importance of resilience of physical structures in educational institutions, and the role of these facilities in cases of disaster. The Sendai Framework sets as a goal for 2019 to substantially reduce disaster damage to critical infrastructure and disruption of basic services, including health and educational facilities. In addition, it urges us to protect or support the protection of cultural and collection institutions and other places of interest from the historical, religious and cultural heritage point of view (10-minute presentations). |
