OBJECTIVES

In accordance with the Work Programme for 2018, as approved by the Latin American Council of SELA, this activity has the following objectives:

  1. Identify the main opportunities and challenges posed by international cooperation, triangular cooperation and South-South Cooperation in strengthening trade infrastructure so as to facilitate greater participation of the region into global value chains;
  2. Create a space for synergy to exchange successful experiences and best practices in managing trade infrastructure aimed at reducing costs and timeframes in foreign trade logistics; and iii)
  3. Make a presentation on the achievements made in the management of trade infrastructure through an evaluation of the status of execution of physical works and the use of information and communication technologies for the modernization of logistics processes.
