SELA organizes seminar on productive articulation for SMEs in Guatemala
The occasion will serve to make some headway in the generation of public policies to meet the needs of SMEs in a systemic manner, fostering the development and growth of enterprises within an ecosystem that facilitates productive innovation and capacity-building
The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), in collaboration with CAF-development bank of Latin America and with the support of the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA), will hold the “Regional Seminar on productive articulation for the strengthening and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region” in Guatemala City on 5 and 6 December 2018.
This event, of widespread international interest, is part of the Productive articulation programme for the strengthening and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region, a multidimensional proposal made by the Permanent Secretariat of SELA as a solution to the needs of this economic sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Experts from different organizations of the Member States of SELA and SIECA will meet to share knowledge about of the main public initiatives in the field of productive transformation, focusing on the opportunities for cooperation that enhance trade and productive development. The Permanent Secretariat will also present the methodology for mapping productive niches, as a contribution to the optimization of the regional productive articulation process.
The opening session will be attended by the Permanent Secretary of SELA, Ambassador Javier Paulinich, who will take the opportunity to talk with the Secretary-General of SIECA, Mr. Melvin Redondo, about the activities of mutual interest that they could carry out.
