SELA: Meeting of International Cooperation Directors to address trade infrastructure and connectivity
The XXIX Meeting of International Cooperation Directors for Latin America and the Caribbean: Strengthening cooperation in commercial connectivity in Latin America and the Caribbean: Towards greater integration into value chains will be held in Santo Domingo on 6 and 7 December 2018.
On this occasion, participants will analyze trade infrastructure and the use of information and communications technologies for the modernization of logistics processes, as well as the achievements made in efforts for greater participation of the region in global value chains.
This meeting has been organized by SELA since 1987 as a forum for identifying opportunities and challenges of international, South-South and triangular cooperation, as well as a meeting space for the exchange of successful experiences and best practices.
The opening session will be attended by the Permanent Secretary of SELA, Ambassador Javier Paulinich, and the representative of Deputy Minister of Free Zones and Special Regimes of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM) of the Dominican Republic, Macelo Puello Ávalo, and the General Director of the General Directorate of Multilateral Cooperation (DIGECOOM) of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development of the Dominican Republic, Ambassador Antonio Vargas Hernández.
