ECONOMIC AND TECHNICAL COOPERATION

SELA acts as a focal point for economic and technical cooperation among countries in the region and organizes every year the "Meeting of Directors of cooperation international of America Latin and the Caribbean", forum par excellence for consultation and coordination among Member States in the field regional.

The main topics covered in this area are: identification of areas of cooperation in consensus with Member States; evaluation of offers and demands for technical cooperation among the countries of the region; provision of technical assistance to countries with smaller economies and lower economic development; exchange of experiences and information on national policies for the development of horizontal cooperation and cooperation inter-Institutional for the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region.
