OECD POINTS TO STRONG GLOBAL ECONOMIC RECOVERY

París, January 11 (AFP)- Economic activity was set to accelerate in the United States, China, Japan and France in November, while other European countries showed signs of stabilisation, the OECD said on Monday.

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development said its index of leading economic indicators "point to an increasing pace of economic expansion in November 2010”.

China, the United States, France and Japan showed "clear signs of accelerating economic activity," while Russian indicators pointed "strongly to steady expansion”.

In Germany, indicators suggested a continued stable pace of expansion, while there were "signs of stabilisation" in Canada, Italy, Britain and India.
