IEA BOARD TO DISCUSS OIL-MARKET SITUATION

London, February 24 (MW)- The International Energy Agency's governing board will be meeting Thursday and Friday for a regularly scheduled meeting. "Obviously, there will be a discussion of the oil-market situation," as well as a host of other issues, a spokesman for the IEA told MarketWatch.

This is "not an emergency meeting," he said. The gathering comes at a time when oil prices have surged above $100 a barrel on worries about disruptions to Libyan oil production.
