Lima, April 18- The government of Peru will always create favourable conditions for Vietnam’s projects to be effectively implemented in the Latin American nation, says Prime Minister Oscar Eduardo Valdes Dancuart.

PM Dancuart made the affirmation at a working session with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai in Lima. He said he hopes Deputy PM Hai’s visit will help foster multifaceted bilateral cooperation.

Highlighting the traditional relationship between the two nations, Mr Hai reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent policy of strengthening ties with Peru, as well as with other Latin American countries.

The Deputy PM appreciated Peru’s support for joint economic and trade projects, which have helped increased two-way trade from US$55.3 million in 2006 to US$165 million in 2011.

Both leaders said the close cooperation between Vietnam and Peru in international organizations and forums such as the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) has laid a firm foundation for the development of relations in all fields.

They discussed promoting future cooperation in various fields through President Ollanta Humala’s upcoming visit to Vietnam in 2012, Peru’s recognition of Vietnam’s market economy, and the opening of the Peruvian embassy in Hanoi.

During a reception for leaders of the Peruvian Foreign Ministry on the same day, both sides discussed ways to boost ties through exchange of high-ranking delegations and Vietnam’s organizing a Ministerial Forum in July to promote trade and investment cooperation with Latin America.
