TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO HOSTS CARIBBEAN INVESTMENT FORUM

Port of Spain, May 15 (PL)- Trinidad and Tobago hosts a forum on investment in the Caribbean, for two days, with the presence of important businessmen in this geographic area.

Among those attending the event is the president of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli, who arrived here yesterday and was greeted by host Prime Minister, Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

According to the Panamanian leader, his country's participation in the meeting represents a sample of the commercial interests in the region.

According to the agenda, Martinelli, accompanied by Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade Jose Pacheco, will speak about the economic achievements of Panama and investment opportunities.

The forum also gathers regional directors, financial ministers and heads of major companies.
