EL SALVADOR FOREIGN MINISTER TO VISIT PERU NEXT WEEK

Lima, August 9 (Andina)- El Salvador's Foreign Minister Hugo Martinez will pay an official visit to Peru on Monday, August 13, to discuss various issues on the bilateral agenda, including cooperation mechanisms for combating the global problem of drugs and organized crime.

Minister Martinez will meet with Peruvian Foreign Minister Rafael Roncagliolo.

His visit will reaffirm the political will of Peru to strengthen the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation with member countries of the Central American Integration System (SICA), the Peruvian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Peru is an observer in this regional integration mechanism, which is headquartered in the city of San Salvador.
