Lima, August 27 (Andina)- The Pacific Alliance that includes Colombia, Chile, Peru and Mexico, is a very attractive bloc to Asia as these countries have a young population and the middle class maintains a steady and rapid growth, BBVA Research said.

"Therefore, this is a dynamic region in which the household spending has increased," the unit of Spanish financial group BBVA said.

Another reason is that the European Union is facing an economic crisis and experiencing an ageing population.

According to its "Economic Observatory" report, foreign direct investment flows are another mechanism that may strengthen the economic relations.

The members of the Pacific Alliance represent 45 percent of total foreign direct investment inflows in Latin America and the Caribbean.
