SELA, INADEM AND PROMÉXICO ORGANIZED "REGIONAL MEETING ON EXPORT CONSORTIUMS"

Caracas, October 7, 2015.- The Permanent Secretariat of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), together with the National Institute of Entrepreneurship (INADEM) and PROMEXICO, ended on October 06, 2015, in Mexico City, the "Regional Meeting on Export Consortiums".
The event, held October 5 and 6, 2015, addressed the development of export consortiums in South America, the Central American Integration System (SICA) and the Caribbean countries. The progress of export consortiums in the Caribbean were analyzed.
The Permanent Secretariat of SELA is working since 2013 in the organization of workshops together with government agencies of member countries of SELA, through the pre-feasibility study for the establishment of the Regional Guarantee Systems for SMEs in the Caribbean, developed by SELA, which includes analysis of mechanisms and innovative financial instruments, complementary systems of guarantees, in order to promote the implementation of regional guarantee schemes for the development of joint productive projects for SMEs in Caribbean countries, such as clusters and productive consortiums.
